Send push notifications to your attendees on Brella from the Communications tab: Announcements.

What are Announcements on Brella?

Event announcements are messages that participants will receive as push notifications on their browser or mobile app once they've accessed the event platform. This will depend on the app version they are using for your event.

  • Announcements will only reach participants who have allowed notifications on their Brella account and their devices (desktop and mobile).
  • Participants will receive these notifications only if they have been enabled to receive notifications on their Brella account. Additionally, the participants can only receive these notifications if their devices are connected to the Internet.
  • You can send announcements instantly or schedule them for a specific time.

What can be added to announcements:

Here's a list of what you can include in your push notifications to attendees:

  • A title (max. 45 characters)
  • Text content 
  • Emojis 
    - For Mac users: Press the Control + Command + Spacebar keys on your keyboard at the same time. A small window overlay appears with a bunch of Emoji characters in it. 
    - Other pc: Hold down Windows Key + Period / Full Stop (.) or Windows Key + Semicolon (;)
  • One URL

⭐ Tip: Make sure to double-check your grammar and spelling before sending it.

Scheduling announcements

To send an announcement through Brella:

  1. Go to the Admin panel, and select Communications.
  2. Click on Create (first) announcement;
  3. Then, write the title of your announcement;
  4. For type, choose 'Scheduled.'
  5. Select the time you want it to be delivered at;
  6. Add the content of the announcement;
  7. Press 'Save.' Now your announcement is scheduled. You can edit your announcements at any time before they are sent out.

Sending an announcement immediately

To send an announcement instantly through Brella: 

  1. Go to the Admin panel, and select Communications.
  2. Click on Create (first) announcement;
  3. Then, write the title of your announcement;
  4. For type, choose 'Immediate,'
  5. Add the content of the announcement. 
  6. Press 'Send now.'  Your announcement will be sent right away.
