Set up a meeting with-out meeting slots

First, click on the 'Suggest Meeting' button, introduce yourself and express the reasons you'll like to contact this person.

Setting up Brella meetings with other attendees is super easy! There are two ways of suggesting a meeting with meeting slots or without meeting slots.

Suggesting a meeting with meeting slots means that you will have pre-scheduled networking meetings in the event schedule, and you'll not need to coordinate time or location.

On the other hand, if the schedule doesn't have meeting slots means that you can mainly chat with other attendees and if you wish to meet, you can set up a meeting by coordinating the details (time and location) through the chat.

Read further to see the instructions on how to suggest meetings in both settings.

Happy networking! 🤝

  1. Set up a meeting with meeting slots
  2. Set up a meeting without meeting slots

Setup a meeting with meeting slots

If you can see specific times for networking in the event schedule, follow these instructions:

  1. Go next.brella.io, navigate to the People's page.
  2. Click on a person's profile, and check their networking availability from the right-side panel of Your schedule.
  3. Select a time that suits you both.
  4. Introduce yourself and click Suggest Meeting.
  5. After sending the meeting request, you will have the chance to send another message; it's your last chance to convince this person to e-meet you! After your second message, the chat will close for you until the match reacts to your request.
  6. Lastly, you can wait for the match to accept, reschedule, or cancel the meeting. You can find your personal chat and Brella's meeting room on the upper side of Brella, next to your profile picture.

Setup a meeting without meeting slots

If in your event you cannot see any designated times which are reserved for meetings, you can suggest meetings openly with other attendees:
  1. Go next.brella.io, navigate to the People's page.
  2. Go to the People's tab, click on the person tab that you would like to suggest a meeting with.
  3. Then, click on Suggest Meeting. A message box will appear; this message is very crucial for the match to understand better why you'd like to connect with him/her. So introduce yourself in a friendly manner and get to the point of your motives.
  4. After sending the meeting request, you will have the chance to send another message; it's your last chance to convince this person to e-meet you! After your second message, the chat will close for you until the match reacts to your request.
  5. Lastly, you can wait for the match to accept, reschedule, or cancel the meeting. You can find your personal chat and Brella's meeting room on the upper side of Brella, next to your profile picture.
