Signing in to Brella for the First Time

Create an account to access all your events hosted in Brella in one place.

If you are here, you are attending a Brella event, perhaps for the first time, or you need to go back to basics. Anyhow- Welcome! You only need one Brella account for all events using Brella.

If you have used Brella before, you can use the same account for this event. For that, go to next.brella.io to sign in and follow the instructions in your invitation email.

πŸ”‘Organizers will send you an invitation to the event a few days before the event kicks off. Usually, event invitations are sent by email or directly to your Brella account.

    You can sign in to Brella on your laptop, PC, or mobile.

    Follow the steps below πŸ‘‡

    1. To sign in to Brella, first create an account:

        • If you create a Brella account with Facebook, Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, or Apple, you'll need to create an account with your respective email and password.
    2. Once you have an account, log back into Brella any time through the πŸ’» web app or πŸ“±mobile app.

    πŸ‘‰ Note: You can access Brella on the web app (next.brella.io) or mobile app (Apple Store or Google Play). If you are attending a virtual event, we recommend using the web app. Also accessible on the mobile browser.

    πŸ‘€ To claim an invite, log in to your Brella account and click on Invites on the Home page. If you don't have one, please create a new account on next.brella.io. Then, click on Invites and click on "Claim seat." For details, go to Claim your invitation from your account.

    πŸ‘€ Creating a Brella Account with Email

    To create an account, you need an email. Simple and easy. You can do it either through the mobile or web app to create an account.

    You can use the web app on your computer or tablet/iPad/phone browser.

    1. Go to next.brella.io or use the join link you received from the organizers found in the event registration email.

    1. Download the Brella App from the App Store or Google Play. Ensure to have at least versions Android v 6.0+ or iOS 9.0+.

    2. Choose how to log in. Brella will verify whether you have an account or not.

    3. Then, you will be asked to check your email inbox. You will receive a login email from Brella.

    4. Open your email, and you will find a login email. Please open it and click on the green button: Log in to Brella.

    5. After clicking on the green button, you will receive a message saying that you should go back to your original page. Thus, go back to the open next.brella.io tab on your browser.

    6. Open the next.brella.io tab, and it will tell you that you don't have an account linked to the email you input. So, Brella will suggest you create an account.

    8. Fill in your basic details for the event, such as profile picture, cover photo, first name, last name, title, and organization.

    🚨 If you see "Authentication required," it means that your session expired. Scroll down and click on Cancel and restart your session.

    9. After creating your account, you will land on the Events tab.

    There, click on Join New Event and input the join code of the event you're attending. It should be in the registration email details.

    πŸ’‘You need a join link or join code to join the event. Each event has a specific join code. Typically, the event organizer will share the join code and join link in the registration or confirmation email πŸ“«, so please check your email inbox and search for these.

    ❗Brella cannot share any join code with any participant due to privacy policies. If you've lost your join code/link, please immediately contact the event organizers.

    Resolution Steps for Sign-up Issues (Magic Link) 

    If you encounter issues signing in to Brella, please review the points below.

    If you see Internal Server Error on the screen after clicking the Login email (magic link), please follow these steps: How to resolve the "Internal server error" issue?

    ❗Issue 1: Authentication Required

    If you see "Authentication required" when creating an account for the first time, it means that your session has expired. To fix this, you need to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Cancel.

    After that, restart the session by inputting your email and following the steps to successfully create your account.

     

     

    ❗Issue 2: Email Cannot Be Empty

    When joining the platform, if after filling in your details you see an error message Email cannot be empty, and you cannot input your email, it means that your session expired. To fix this, you need to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Cancel. After this, restart your session again.

    ❗Issue 3: Page Irresponsive

    If, after canceling the session, the same error occurs. Please, clear Brella's cache. To do it, please follow the following steps:

    1. On next.brella.io, right-click your mouse, open the list, and select 'Inspect.'
    2. A new controller bar will open. Select the option 'Application.'
    3. On the right side of the bar, click on 'Indexed DB' from the Storage section.
    4. Select 'local forage' and 'Delete Database' of each one listed in the image below.

    5. Finally, Refresh the page from the top icon on your browser search bar.
    Afterward, click the link of the event invitation again and go through the join process as usual.
