Embed a breakout room recording as On-demand content

After a breakout session, you have the possibility to add the recordings using its embedded link, as On-demand content to your Schedule, or in the Stream tab.

When hosting the Breakout rooms, you'll have granted additional rights as a Host that enable you with the possibility to record the session and download this material, to subsequently use it as On-demand content and/or post-event videos to add to your event in the Brella platform.

In this article, you'll learn where you can add these recordings and what kind of format the videos should have to be embedded correctly in Brella.

⚑Note: The recording can only be downloaded locally. It means that it will be saved on your pc/laptop, and if you need to share the file, it's necessary to use cloud services or video compression tools to be transferred to the event organizer if needed. For more information, check this article.

πŸ‘‰ Streams

The Stream tab is one of the options to upload your material. Once your session has finished in the Breakout room, stop the recording and save the file.

After you have saved your file, now it can be added to the Brella platform:

  1. Create a new Stream, preferably use the name of the Breakout room session. This way, attendees will associate the word, and finding the right content will be smoother.
  2. Copy the embedded link of the recording
  3. Add it to the field 'Stream URL'
  4. Click 'Save' to activate the new stream.

  1. Go to the Admin Panel and click on the Schedule tab
  2. Select the corresponding session slot where you want to add the recording.
  3. Copy the embedded link of the recording
  4. Add it to the field 'Stream/Video Url'
  5. Optional, modify the tags to mark that the content is On-demand
  6. Click 'Save' to activate the new stream.

⚑Note: To make your content dynamic with our mobile app, you must have into account that the embedded content from streaming providers should have additional parameters to show correctly in the attendee view. πŸ‘‰ Virtual Booths

Sponsors play a big role in every event and having sessions and/or content hosted by them, could be a great idea to increase visibility and traffic to their booth. If any of your sponsors is hosting a session (Webinar, Workshops, Panel Discussion, Presentations, Round Tables, Brainstorming, Case studies, Training, Mentoring sessions, Fireside chats), the Breakout rooms are a great feature in Brella to keep your attendees in the same place for a smooth experience.

The virtual booths also use iFrame technology, which allows you to add different materials including On-demand videos by adding the embedded link in the carousel.

What is an iFrame? An iFrame is an element of a website HTML structure that allows embeddable content to be showed alongside other website content.

Once your session has finished in the Breakout room, stop the recording and save the file.

After you have saved your file, now it can be added to the Brella platform:

  1. Go to the Admin Panel and click on the Sponsor of your preference
  2. Select 'Edit virtual booth'
  3. Create a new entry using Slide type 'Embed web page/ video/ Stream URL'
  4. Copy the embedded link of the recording
  5. Add it to the field 'Url'
  6. Click 'Create' to save the material
